Hey All,

Quick question. My car (EB2 Falcon XR6) smokes a bit when cold. It looks like oil smoke (blue). After a 15 min drive it clears up. You can rev the crap out of it and there will be minimal to no smoke. It doesn't really use any oil.

When I had the intake hose off a while ago after the car had been sitting for a day or two, I noticed some oil in the throttle body.

So, would this be a stuffed PCV valve?

Cheers,

Evan.

not really... if the pcv valve draws oil it draws it into the manifold not the throttle body..
the oil in the throttle body is from the rear breather, this is where combustion fumes/blow by go when the pcv is closed

best thing to do is remove it clean the pcv anyway, aslong as the valve still moves inside it should be fine...
