hay all i need yto take out my pedal asembly for welding as the shaft that clutch pedal pivots on has cracked where its joined, does or has anyone taken out, or how do u do it.

the whole dash needs to come out. start by removeing the shifter knob and the shifter boot. you will see one screw, remove this screw.
next just infront the shifter is a small rubber cover, remove this cover.
You will know see 2 more screws, remove these screws. you can now remove the shifter surround. this will give you access to the next lot of screw you need to remove.

yada yada yada.

and finaly put the shifter knob back on. jobs done.

ive started wish was as simple as u say lol this is a pain in a** got front seat out, half dash off stairing colum down but still carnt get top bolts to undo pedal box

well i dont think anyone has done this before pulled pedal box out an put back in an drive car again, ive got this heap striped down an still carnt get the f..kin pedal box even loose let alone remember where everything ive taken off goes, so looks like i wont b selling it as whole car as no one wants car that carnt drive , so i will b wrecking it

There are few people here that have done it.. pulled out out and swapped to a manual.. also BenJ recently pulled his dash right out and replaced it with an EL dash..

It can be done, it's just a mongrel of a job...

well im buggered it got me stumped there is a big bar running through the dash rite where i need to get top bolts of pedal assembly every bolt i undo gets me no closer to the top bolts

Probably would have saved yourself much stress just by picking up a cheapie manual..

Its not that uncommon a job as heater cores often die and require replacement.. I've never done it in an E series.. but I have done it in several other cars some of which were falcons.

thanks guys for imput i did as u said an dash came out sweet and pedal box ,so its all welded up. now hope i can remeber how all goes back cheers nicco n troyman
