Hello to you all. I have a 1985 xf wagon with a 3.3 litre alloy head motor (carby). I have put 375000 k on her since new and the motor is starting to get tired. I have a spare one that needs to be rebuilt but would like to improve it a bit for fun. Can anyone help with advice.

Thanks for the quick replies. The pics are good. Mine is in good nick body wise. I think I will start to look for something like that motor. I didn't think they would bolt in without a s**t.

That car is a credit to you. I don't Know whether I'd want that many ponies but I do want to make a bit of a project out of the motor. I have heard that the block is the same for a 3.3 as it is for a 4.0. Can I turn my 3.3 into a 4.0?

Place that 3.3 straight into the scrap bin, they're like the EA with the 3.2, totally gutless.
You'll find 4.1 crossflows laying around any and everywhere, they're worth nothing! |
