Depends on how much Petrol and Gas are in your area

Around here right now, Gas is 38-40c per litre. Petrol is $1.20

Put that into my calculator and it takes.... *thinking* about 26,000 to 27,000 km before its paid for itself, (based on a gas install price of $2500 drive away..)

If your Gas is.. say 57c per litre, but your petrol is only 97c (don't laugh, its like that in some parts of Queensland still) then you pay it off in 63,000 Km (based on the same price for an install) In that case, it'd be 5 years before it paid for itself, and so wouldn't be a great option!

If you were buying an Egas BA from factory, the install is $1400. Based on 20,000 km per year, average driving conditions, and the price of GasvPetrol being 40c/120c then it only takes 9 months for the system to pay for itself fleets love that!

It all depends on your circumstances, and individual needs. Which is why I wrote the excel file! so people could decide for themselves!

that is true but u forgot to mention the torque figure of 372nm which by comparison to the petrol ba which has 182 kws and 380nm makes the egas ba a better engine in terms of pulling power.

u can get lubrications systems for lpg engines that squirt fluid up the top of the pistons to keep them lubricated or you can use flashlube in your oil.

who is going to buy a new car? not many people. my old man bought a second hand ba egas falcon for 22g with 44k on it ,drives like a petrol ba,gets around 450-500kms around town on $35 which is a bout 75-80litres.

so in 16000kms he has spent
16000kms /475kms/per tank =33 times to refuel * $32.5 = $1094.

Have you written that right? Looks like your saying Egas has 372nm and petrol 380nm, so petrol has more torque, but your saying Egas is better puller?
I've only ever driven Egas BA's and I must say very impressive, goes a lot harder than petrol AU's I've driven.
