I am measuring the mechanical components (in the example included with the instructions I am measuring the temperature at the centre of the butterfly in Throttle - which has not gone past 45 degrees Celsius since install - before install it had hit a staggering 70.
To measure the actual air temp at inlet valve with motor running is a little beyond the scope of my abilities. |

if it helps, my air temp sits at a steady 50 deg c just cruising (no boost).
this is measured at the factory ait sensor below the throttle body using my aftermarket ecu.. |

That is worth knowing... For sure.
Did I read correctly (someplace) that you can get the climate control display or the dash instrument cluster to display this intake figure somehow or other? Something like diagnostic mode and then hold down this button, push the other button three times, f@rt twice and bobs your uncle? |

Hey - Holy s**t, been a long while... Probably made a dozen and the waterjet cutting place let me down on one (no less than a custom one for someone with larger ports who was then upset when the ports weren't exactly matched).
Mine is still in the car after 10 years and is still sealed despite injector cracks squirting petrol at it and more than average amounts of oil and things spilled around the area. Suppose I should make a few more. No dyno results or anything to prove they work. But they do reduce the heat soak into the BBM quite remarkably. Work out the science of that on your own time. Combined with everything else people do to please their engine, there is more than enough evidence for the inclusion of such a device. |
