Hi,
I have an EB here that has blown it's second heater pipe in 6 months. I'm thinking (seeing as the heater box is stuffed anyway) that I'll block it off. It's the rubber pipe that comes of the metal 90degree bend out of the thermostat housing. It's been a while since ive looked in there but I think I remember right there's a metal sleeve that screws in and holds that metal pipe into the thermostat housing. If I manage to undo that and pull out the pipe (which was impossible on a another EB I had) then I could screw a bolt or something in there? Now before you all tell me to get it fixed properly - the car has a blown head/head gasket and is being used by my girlfriend while she finds a new car. Then it'll be scrapped so I don't need to be spending money on it! Cheers, Jacob

You dont want to just bypass the heater? - instead of playing with the hard pipes, a small amount rubber hose from the front pipe to the rear one (which you otherwise have to block as well)
