youll lose low down power and torque with a pod,its a waste of money, stick with a panel,it will still make 2/3rds of f**k all difference but youll save money in the end

having an exposed air filter element is illegal in many states, so many pod filter installs would be illegal

if you have to be "Fully sick" then you can install the pod filter into your standard airbox and rig up a cold air pick up from the front bumper to the bottom of the airbox.. although there is next to no difference running a K&N flat panel air filter..

many moons ago i had a eb falcon,

had all the mods you could think of. It went slower when i put a pod on it so i put the airbox back on and put in a finer filter (same as an K&N)

It all depends on what you want. I found that once I put my Pod on, the car made a lot more noise, and I like that noise, so I keep my pod.

I have a mate who has a VT Commodore, which a huge-a** exhaust. Let's just say it's bark is worse than it's bite. But he likes that sort of thing.

Let's think about this for a second. The coolest car in the entire world, the 1966 Batmobile from the tv show, was originaly a '55 Lincoln Futura. a bloke named George Barris turned the Futura into the batmobile. And it wasn't fast either. But it had a freakin' Kero fire in the back which was made to look like afterburners by use of Fans! How cool is that? But how do we make it faster? Take all the stuff off that makes it the batmobile to lighten it up!

Anyway, I'm just saying that It depends on what you want from your car, some people are in the pursuit of speed, others aren't.

if ya go a pod makesure you get one with a 3.5in neck as oppossed to the normal 3in. it has been dyno proven that 3.5in-4in neck pods gain 10rwhp and 3in pods gain 1-3rwhp.

i got this info from a guy that designed the intakes for simota australia.

also you will need a induction pipe to fit.

I see alot of guys now selling their pods and this is the reason as they actually loose power than gain.

Go the K&N panel filter................ :P

yeah, but they are all using 3in neck pods. I had a 3in pod and then went to a simota 3.5in alloy intake pipe and 3.5in neck oiled pod and it made a huge difference.

The majority of people on this site have only tried 3in neck pods and not 3.5in-4in pod setups..

The falcon 4litre motor has been dyno proven (R&D) to produce better gains with 3.5in alloy intake and pod setup when compared to a 3in neck pod filter.

cheers............

Here you go again, if it's dyno proven then show the real results!

The only thing you're gaining is the big BOARRRR sound when you open the throttle.
