hey guys got a pod today finally after so many mixed reviews... i love the sound
anyway that aside, i have just deleted air box, and attached the pod to the end of the hose that goes from throttlebody to the airbox. i want to replace that with some custom pipe which is shorter as the pod is scratching against the wheel well and i dont want it to. what can i get that can allow a 3" pipe to connect to the throttlebody as the 3" silicon hose stuff i have doesnt fit over the throttlebody.... is there a falcon adapter i can get at places such as autobarn or do i need to get like a 4" to 3" silicon hose bit or something? thx in advance guys |

you sure your 3" hose is actually 3" then?
I've never had an issue getting 3" hose onto the throttle body. |

100% sure of it cos ive got other 3" things too which are smaller than the TB.
keep in mind this is EB2 not an EF |

I got 3" joiner going over my throttle body fine
Gotta kind of lever it, but it goes on fairly easy. I got a 3" mandrel bend, bit of flexi, another very short piece of 3" and my pod then attaches to that, I just let bounce around the wheel arch LOL.

hmm ill have another bash in the morning maybe i wasnt doing it right
i got the silicon over the 90* bend i have but couldnt get it over the TB... |

Try getting it on the TB first, you gotta get one side on then lever the other over.

yeh really had to force it but got it on... looks kinda odd tho as it doesnt quite sit right yet, i gotta make the 90* bend a bit shorter on the TB side as the pod sits too close to the headlight but once its sitting in between light and wheel arch its gonna look a treat cos ive got a chrome heat shield for it too

the t/b isnt a circle is oval thats why its hard to get it on there

ahhhh i thought it was a funky shape when i was trying to put the hoseclamp over the the 90* bend thought the silicon was an odd shape compared to the circle of the 90* bend lol

The easiest way to do this is to simply find an EB or EA that has had a gas carby on it. You will find that the rubber intake piping is absolutely purfect for putting the pod on. All you need is a piece of 3" tube to extend the rubber piping out to where you want the pod to sit. Using the original piping was a pain in the a***. I will see if I can dig up some pics....

heres my piping boys
as i said i needa chop a bit of pipe off at the TB side of the 90* bend to get the pod sitting further back in the engine bay away from the headlight
