at the moment im scratching for other things to mod on my car for more performance (staying N/A), already have head work, cam, exhaust, intake...

there isnt alot of information on here about getting a BBM ported.

is it worthwhile?

does it flow well enough standard for the mods i have, or is it worthwhile getting it ported and polished?

or what other mods have you made to your BBM?

and for what result?

anyone who has had any experince with one, please post up!

cheers

haha, i was waiting for someone from that thread!

RPD SELL them, i want to hear from some one who has BOUGHT one, got one MADE, and who has gone through and FITTED one to thier car... i want to know if it worked for them or not.

id like to hear from a fellow ford modder with their experince, and not a salesman... no disrespect to RPD.

No they do not. They are no longer around AFAIK.
They might still have some sort of information on them or be able to point us to people who've bought/used them but.

You obviously didn't read the 2nd post here, were all aware there's one for sale, hence why he's asking about them.

if the butterflies have been removed, then you cant really call it a BBM anymore, just a log that looks like a BBM...
is it worthwhile for an na car?
and if it is worthwhile, then why not just go back to the log manifold off the earlier e series cars?

is it possible to just port the runners (the 6 runners which bolt onto the head down to the butterflies), and cleaning up all the casting dags from the rest of the manifold (and not stripping out the mechanics of the BBM)

try rereading it then as he's asking about teh gains, etc. from it. you might also have noticed that we had all already expressed interested in the one for sale.

The XR6T have that done, no butterflies I'm pretty sure.
I thoguth the butterflies were in the top half of the manifold but?
The picture only shows the bottom half with work doen to it.

i thought they were in the bottom, but now that i think about it im not entirely sure, its been a while since ive looked inside one!
if you look at the photo there is a small hole right through the middle of it, and i beleive this is the hole where the shaft goes through to drive the butterflies, is this correct? if it is, then that means the butterflies are in that half off the BBM... and that means that this 'ported' manifold no longer has the butterflies!
can anyone clear this up?

cheers
