I noticed today that there is a slight leak coming from the side of the engine where the head sits on the block leaking just above the extractors, am i right in thinking that its a head gasket? I have checked the coolant bottle + oil and they're both fine

Someone break the bad news to me :x

Above the extractors? That is a bit odd...

Try and get hold of a radiator pressure tester, and look for the leak - most radiator shops will do it for you, to try and flog you a new rad, or whatever they can.

Look for rusty, leaky welsh plugs on either side of the block, below the manifolds.

Good luck.

As sooty72 said, it's kind of odd for coolant to be leaking above the extractors, and if that is the case, then it probably isn't the head gasket as it sits below the manifolds.

Take a photo, it will help us help you.
