just a quick one. my ed threw the belt off last night and i want to put it on. problem is i forgot what someone told me on how to put it on.
anyone care to help me?

is the ED belt similar to the EF belt which goes around everything? if so, you need to slacken the tensioner, put the new belt on and i think it self tensions. someone correct me on the last point - not 100% sure on that!

um im not 100 per cent sure on that dude. anyone know what size bit i need for the tensioner?

they are different to the EF. the Ed has 3 belts, is it has air and steer.
which belt was it?

thats the easy one lol cause its the first one, you dont have to take the others off. where the idle pulley is at the back there is 2 nuts. you need to loosen the outer one then wind the inner one down and it will loosen the belt/wind the pulley donw the bracket.
hope this makes sense and helps

The inner lock nut is 15/16" or 24mm and the outer adjuster bolt is 1/2" or 13mm.

how do you guys do it up without rounding the bolt?

get a socket onto the 13mm.
use a ring spanner (or open end) to hold the 24?mm nut and do it up accordingly.

lol i got the bastard on eventually with minimal rounding. thanks to everyone who replied. another problem solved by kezz's dodgy mechanical workshop!
