Nathanhrv wrote: So if it is stuffed does that mean the power steering wont work? and wat is the function of this hose? thanks agen mate The high pressure hose supplies the steering rack with fluid to allow power steering to actually work. Without it you won't have power steering...if you have ever driven a car equipped with power steering that doesn't work...it is the biggest PITA to steer. Nathanhrv wrote: oh and also is it an involved process to change it over to the new hose without the union joint? Simple task. Empty pump of fluid. Put plastic/rag over alternator to stop left over fluid from leaking onto it. Undo hose nut on pump end and undo nut on rack end. Remove a bracket that's bolted on the K-frame. Remove hose. Replace with new hose with new o-rings. Tighten everything up including hose bracket. Clean up around the hose to make it easier to check later. Top up fluid to full and turn the engine on to let the fluid cycle leaving the cap off. Top fluid up as it drops. Check fluid over a week to make sure it hasn't dropped. Hope that helps.

Prestige Power Steering 106 Northgate Dr, Thomastown VIC 3074 (03) 9464 2282 For some reason their website doesn't have Thomastown in it. But I am pretty sure they are still there. If not can always call Ford and see how much they charge (or ask Papa Smurf)
