The front passenger power window won't go back up, it would only go down and now it's all the way down.

The other three windows work fine

Anyone know how to fix it?

When you push the switch, does the motor make a "whirring" noise as though the motor is working but not moving the window? or do you hear nothing at all?

If it is the latter then you can try pulling the switch out of the console and give it a clean. Contacts might be dirty or worn.

If it was the former, then the cable that pulls the window up/down has come off and does nothing at all. This means you have to pull the door skin off and then if you're lucky, can put the cable back once you remove the motor from the door. If you're unlucky, the pulley is stuffed.

Could also be a blown motor.

this is weird

i just went outside to test what you just told me

now it works for some strange reason... BUT it only worked for about 5 seconds

after those 5 seconds, it doesn't work anymore. so now it's stuck halfway up

any more clues?

your window reg is busted. take the door trim off and have a look at the white plastic bits near the motor. i can almost guarantee that it's broken and caused the cable to jam.

have someone press the switch while you force/pull the window up. once its up leave it there until you replace the reg

the motor is working overtime trying to move a jammed window hence heating up the entire circut. fix the reg and you fix your problem

get some silicon spray and spray it into the glass channels, this will make it easier for the window to go up and down
