gday,
just need to know if you can mount a dizzy out of an eb on an ef engine? is there just a plate or something covering up the hole in the block for the dizzy. cheers Dj |

Yes its the same block in the EF there will be a cam angle sensor there, just pull that out and slot in the dizzy. Easy as. I put a dizzy in my AU motor.

mostly for the serpentine belt conversion, as im looking at a ef engine for 100 bucks thats got a blown head gasket |

I put a dizzy in my AU motor. _________________ iv done it too. vacume advance makes 400 hp at the wheels....lol why cos its too hard to wire up the crank angle sensor. i have done it now using the crank trigger and a modulator box

now u need to fit another 4.0L in there so u can use up the 12 Leads u can now run lol

People (including myself) use distributors to 'simplify' the ignition systems. You sometimes see people using old x-series distributors with lpg setups so they dont need an efi computer at all. I swapped to dizzy just because it was easier to wire up to the engine management system I was running.

Just to answer my own question - remove spark plugs pull on sensor while turning engine by hand - it'll come out when it's on the right spot (TDC on 1 I thnk) |
