Ok in the diagram located here
images/technicaldocs//ea-edthermofans/image007.jpg it says that some of the wires from the kit go into the motor where and how do you do this because i am a little bit confused and would really like to get rid of the clutch fan to gain a quieter ride with more power !

The doco i read said that there is a copper rod in the Davies Craig kit where the rod slides into the top radiator hose but i think it is a trial and error sort of thing unless anyone else has a better suggestion !

The copper rod would be the temperature probe and is connected to the Davies Craig switch already The probe goes into the top radiator hose for the switch to sense the water temp so it activates the thermo fans at the temperature configured with the switch. |

I think they also supply a rubber pad to stick to the radiator fitting to help it reseal, make sure the stem of the probe sits on this.

Spend the extra money and buy the coller. You cut about an inch out of the middle of the top hose, clamp the coller in which is threaded to take the probe and seals with brass bushes.
No bloody leaks. |

or avoid the thermatic switch and use an EL ECU.

Just a question... could you not get the reading of the temp sensor that already on the thermostat?
