I read on fordforums.com that they cost about $300 of something. I wouldnt mind getting one but whats the point i can put up with the truck shifter.
You could always get out the hacksaw one weekend and give it a nip and tuck if you didnt want to spend the cash. Bart

If you're just after a shorter gear stick Mark from ITS was telling me he has a AU TS50 one (I think is was that one) in his and they're a bit shorter apparently. Only around $40 from ford too. I was going to try and cut mine down a little, but because of the way the S in the stick is shaped you'd only be cutting and inch or so of thread off and that'd be less thread that was holding it on, it wouldnt actually sit any lower...
Anyone in sydney got one of these mal wood shifters ? I wouldnt mind feeling one...

Yeh you cut a chunk out of the bottom and weld the bracket back on.
You dont cut the top. If you know what i mean.

I'm fairly short so I sit pretty close to my shifter. lol
That said, I've mounted my cd player remove on my cup holder so I don't have to lean forward to the head unit

when my car was converted to manual, the guy chopped the stick and welded it back on. Its nice and short and has a awesome feel. Tottally different driving a manual with a short shift, feels much more racey. Dunno if u can change gears that much faster with it tho.. ive tried it out and its f**k all difference.
Maybe he is talking about a quickshift for an auto? If so heaps of people sell an electric shift kit, and apparnelty they are really good, u can chirp gears and all. talk to discofrank about it, i think he made a couple? |

Hmmm, i always thought a proper quickshift actually involved modifying the linkages of the gear box, or at least, the way the gear stick connects to the linkages
