I was looking at an xr6T BA Mk1 today at a dealership. I noticed the rocker cover had a re-seal on it so I asked the guy and he goes, oh yeh, must have been a little oil leak, just fixed it up for its roadworthy. Is this expected. Also, the paint on the plenum going into the TB was all peeling off around the (turbo intercooled badge). Does anyone know if these are common problems?

the ba is the first generation of the turbo falcons, their bound to have alot of problems over the passing years.
thats why i would reccomend anyone doing a twin cam turbo conversion to wait a few models.

The peeling on the intake part is very common, i used to see it on pretty much every XR6T Falcon with a few K's on the clock. If you want you could always pull it off sand it back and smooth it out heaps and paint it with hi-temp paint any colour you want.
