i just found this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-TICKFORD-EF ... 4a9c8ecf58

EF Tikford with 95,000k's. The guy says the lifters are a little rattly probably because its been sitting for 4-5 months without use, doesnt really bother me because i would swap over my reco AU head onto it anyway.

What do you guys think?

still need to take out cam angle sensor and replace with a dizzy and change over the engine loom to suit, don't need a modified sump then, or au bell housing... Would be much simpler...

el has a dizzy..(ef has coil pack) im not 100% on the loom but its not difficult to swap the manifold loom from yours to that...

would be the same... only differences are EF is a coil pack set up then EL went back to dizzy then AU went to coil packs again

Yeh, thats how I got my AU donk home from Shepperton. Works well. Also if you get an AU series 2/3 donk, you will have to fit your old EL engine mounts. The centre stud on the underside of the rubber mount will fowl on the hole in the mounting point if not changed. Series 1 engine mounts are the same as EF/EL so no dramas.
