Heres the story. Cars an EF GLi, 4 speed auto, 2.5" exhaust and 3.9 diff. Stock ECU and stock Stall Convertor

Got my R4 camshaft installed finally. Idle is rough as crap, revs pick up and drop, and car stalls alot when going slow (<1000rpm)

What can I do to help fix this?

stall converter needs to be uped, a 2500rpm stallie would probably be needed, you can try bumping up the base idle as well, but its only a band aid solution, I was running this same cam in mine, but mines manual so I got away with it. base timing cannot be changed in EF, coil pack remember.

Good luck.

Should prob point out, I know this is a lumpy cam. I love the lumpyness and rough idle, I just want the stalling sorted out.

Also wanting to know if the rev pick up and drop is normal for this cam?
