Driving my EA to work the smorning and then this noisy fan noise started, it gets louder as I rev the car. I stopped and it's my radiator fan, its spinning really fast and goes faster as I again "rev" it making heaps of nose and blowing alot of wind, like much crazier then normal...

The clutch in the cooling fan has stuffed up. Get a new one soon as when they lock on like this they put a lot of drag on the water pump.
The whole lot just screws off in a clockwise direction.

Haven't bought one for a while but probably about $60 from somewhere like Bursons. You just have to put your old fan on the new clutch hub.

was the engine hot?????
did the fan stop doing this when the engine had cooled down?

they will spin faster if the engine gets hot.

I had the same problem, just replaced the fan/clutch about 2hrs ago. Sat there with a long screwdriver and spanner for nearly ten minutes trying to screw it off, until I realised I was turning anti-clockwise...

Whoops, any way, the fan is sorted out, but now theres another noise coming from the engine, near inlet manifold. Sounds like a whirring/hissing noise.
Only happens when car is not revving, sprayed belts with this sort of lubricant, seemed to help, but got noisier as car continued running. Not a manifold leak, as it would begin hissing straight away, but from cold start takes about 5 mins.

Any ideas? One suggestion was the air-con compressor clutch may be rooted?

Cheers
