hey all, i have had this issue for years now. basically whats happening is i can run the car and the cooling system will create some pressureised air in the tank, i can turn the car off and come back 24 hours later and open the lid and it will hiss as the air pours out. for some reason its sucking in air from somewhere and not letting it back out.
my mate had this issue but he installed a CPI radiator on a MPI motor so there was no air hose at the top of the radiator. it all looks stock and the radiator cap is a standard one. and i have no issues with overheating. anyone got any idea or helpful hints? |

Replace the cap maybe as it's not releasing the pressure?

If its holding pressure overnight. You may have a head problem. I had the same problem with a Gemini extra pressure was from porosity holes in the head. This causes combustion gases to enter the cooling system when the head is hot and over pressurize it.

Thats what I was going to say. I haven't seen it myself, but I have heard several occasions: If your cooling system is pressurised when cold there is a head/headgasket problem

well i can handle that. im getting the top end dne in 2 weeks time. just noticed my water is going somewhere. and i have noticed i spit water out my exhaut... so i guess its head gasket...
