The hoses connect in different positions for a start. Not sure about the rest. You may be able to interchange them, using radiator hoses to fit. Auto cooler Lines may be different too however.
In short, not worth bothering with. |

Yes the outlet pipe at the bottom is a different size and the header tank (coolant tank) are different as in angle and straight. Also the way the header tank connects to the radiator may be different as the tanks used are different.
Next time try a search as this has been coved a lot regarding the differences between the EA, EB-ED and EF-EL radiators |

Yes, physicaly they will fit to the same mounting points. Bottom hose is a different size and comes out the side. Trans cooler pipes are no problem nor is coolant bottle from memory. You may have to mix and match hoses to get it right, but bottom hose is not straight foreward, maybe get radiator place to weld on new collar.

The side tanks are made of plastic so modifications are not practical. When I quizzed a radiator repairer about using an EL side tank on an EA radiator, they said it was too much stuffing around. Maybe you can find a company that's more helpful. A custom made copper side tank will be expensive.
The only other solution is to get a piece of stainless tube flared at an exhaust shop to act as reducer. Then, buy & cut new EA & EL radiator hoses to suit. I did this with my engine and it works fine. Got the idea from another guy on Fordmods. I've seen an EA radiator & hose, attached to an EL water pump, using a short section of EL hose as a packer (inside the EA hose). It looked a bit dodgy and may come off under pressure as the hose clamp has to seal 2 hose ends. Is this a just a query, or are you planning to put an EL motor in your car?

Ooops forgot about the plastic. Go to panel beater and see if they can plastic weld it for you.
