hey all i have a 95 ef xr6 and am thinking of getting a rebuild on it just wondering what the cost on that kinda thing might be and if there is anything not too pricy i can get done while its all apart to give it a bit of extra go :D . cheers

If your going to rebuild it do some porting to the head.
If your keen you might want to get ITS Performance to rebuild it with a stage 3 or 4 kit.
It would be worth while rather than rebuilding a stock motor again.
If only they were over in Perth. Thats what I'd do.

ok well whats a stock rebuild worth and whats a stage 3 and 4 worth and whats done

if those guys u talked to before said it's gonna cost around 3k to fix all your problems u could easily spend that money on a hardcore engine rebuild dude.

yeah i know thiss now and all its gonna cost me extra is a bit of travel time which im more than happy to put in

I'd like to keep the same engine. Means getting someone to take it out then ship it, wait for 3 weeks then get someone to put it back in.

I got a V8 now so its less likely to happen for the 6.
