G'day
I'm new to the forum but I'm an old dog. I got this 1989 LTD DA just before Christmas and been fixing some faults. There a tapping noise coming from the rear end similar to bad universal bad joint. It happens only sometimes. More often when braking at about 40 KMH (soft braking) and sometimes slowing down with no brakes. The tapping frequency is consistent with the traveling speed. I changed disk rotors and pads thinking they would be causing the noise. Nothing. I've been under the car when got the exhaust replaced and everything looks good. Has anybody else had tis problem. Any help will be welcome Chicho |

upper and lower control arms, is the handbrake dragging over the knockback on the rotors? Sway bar bushes? Axle bearings? I would not really suggest suspension sides of things, but if you have the a*** in the air, its still worth a look over.
