Change the rear main Welsch plug with a brass one while your at it. And as said you need to remove the tailshaft and gearbox to get to it.

i had a look under the car there is oil every where i took a pic to help.. and there is a ticking noise as well still plenty of oil in still gone down tho. so im guesing sump gasket or rear main all help greatyl apprecited

Yep your right it looks like the rear main. But then again looks can be decieving.

it may not be but b4 u start rippin the gearbox out to get to the rear main check the rocker cover gasket - they have a habit of leaking at the back near the firewall - might be an easy fix
also check the oil sender |

Im not sure how it looks on your car but being a ford and assuming the engine in your car is pretty similar to mine the sensor is a decent sized gold mushroom head looking unit with a screw thread at the end that screws almost all the way in to the engine block and has a single wire connector on the end of it. It is a b**ch to get out without the car being on a hoist. I did it with a lot of swearing laying under the car and a sore back later. Mind you my car is a fairmont so there could be a bit of difference to yours.
