hey all
happened to be under the car the other day and noticed that the read ressie was all rusted out. light tap with the hammer and it fell off. wanted to get that tail pipe off but where it joins the mid pipe but its stuck in. any tips on how to get it off without cutting it? tried hitting the join with a hammer but no success.

do you mean one pipe is stuck in the other? i soaked mine in Lanolin, then had one person holding the centre muffler while i attempted to twist the other end, it came unstuck after a while but was a lot of screwing around.

heat works too :D

um you could always try crc or wd40 and let it soak in for a while and try to pull apart.

Get a chissel or something and try and pry apart the piping from each other if that makes sense?

But yeah just cut the f**k, for what its worth its too much stuffing around.

thanks guys for the input. was just checking to see if there was any easy way to do it without cutting. sounds like cuttings my best friend now. tried the crc and wd40. didn't work well. i recn if i can get it on a hoist i can get it off easy. 2 bad hoists dont grow on trees.
