i had a note on my cam card from crow advising the utilisation of the standard oil pump & don't recommend high flows.

anyone else notice that?

at this stage change the welsh plugs in the block-sides and rear and the head.check the bearing clearances with plasti gauge, its easy to use and accurate, also crankshaft end float---make sure its within specs.

regarding oil pumps......you can port them to make them higher flow.

Very easy to do if your fairly mechanically minded. And the connection from your brain to your hands is good (if u know what i mean). :)

You seem very confident and seem to be doing a good job. Nothing is too hard when you put your mind to it.

Re: HV oil pumps. Puts too much load on the idler shaft and wears the teeth. My engine machinist said he has seen alot of damage from HV pumps in the E series mtr. I am using a ported stock one.
