Exactly, if your going to be refitting it as is you might as well order another set of valves and prep for a another day removing the head

Well yes I do have a welder, and I did replace the valves with new ones.
I just didn't see the point of throwing away a head that I wasn't sure was the problem. me and the old man have been talkin about it and the only thing we can think of is the cam timing is out, the odd thing is though all of the timing marks line up. And I would also like to say that I posted this to get info and help, if all people are going to do is abuse me and tell me how usless I am then go get f**k.

i told you it'd be valve timing wrong. the only way it would've ran but bend valves. the valves must've only just tapped the pistons. are you sure they are lining up? or do you just think they are. if i remember correctly the aux shaft gear and crank gear have to point at each other and the cam gear mark has to sit level with the passengers side of the head where the rocker cover would sit.

Right wildeb.
Crank sproket mark with oil pump sproket mark. Cam mark should be inline with the intake side of the head. Up to 3 degrees tollerance up or down. Did you check the head is outside minimum thickness? Where was the crank timing mark when you set the engine to TDC before you pulled it apart again? |

Plus ive got another head sittin here anyway.
