does anybody hav a redline inlet manifold on their carby 250 motor. was it worth it? if i gotr one and use the webber do i need to get an adaptor plate and get the carby re jetted? will i use more fuel with this setup. wat should i pay for one and where can i get the adaptor block. any help would be appreciated. cheers

yes it was worth it
you will need to make and adapter plate, i couldnt find one,, im told they dont exist, i tried numerous places.. easy to machine up anyways
my carby is still stock,, will be getting it tuned sghortly.. havent played with jets yet
i payed 150 on ebay,, i wouldnt pay the 300 they go for new....

my fuel economy is somehow better, even tho i drive it harder, might have something to do with all the pollution crap that got renmoved in the process....

anyway, more power, more torque, less fuel, less vacuum leaks (due to most of it being removed).. definately worth it

i take it you're talking about the redline manifold for a holley carb.

why not get a 500 holley at the same time so you don't have to make adapters to fit a webber back on.

a properly jetted holley would give the same feul consumption

i have done the same, need it jetted properly now. it revs up high so much better, fuel doesnt seem to be a prob. although one full pump of the peddal and its floded.

Yes, they are worth it, with the right cam and head porting, plus exhaust, and dizzy mods too. This one would smoke 3rd gear, with 2.92 LSD, 4sp single rail in XF ute. This is a 4 barrel manifold with a 600 vac sec sq bore Holley on it. The mechanical fuel pump was moded too to cope with delivery volume.
