gday,
im summing up buying a wade 1004-14 cam, which would give better performance tho, a regrind or a new cam? If there is a measurable difference that is?

No performance difference at all.
The billet cams just aren't worthwhile unless you're talking about 200+ RWKW.

From what I've heard you still have to shim the billet cams too, as you would with a regrind, but with the added disadvantage of it needing to be dialled in.
Add that to the extra cost of a billet cam and, and yeah you get the point. - Regrind = cheaper, easier etc.... |

As far as I know Wade only do regrinds, in order to compare the two you need for them both to be of the same grind, since there's no new cam to compare to, well, you can't really be sure. But for the amount of money you save getting Wade's regrind, it's worth it as it can be spent improving other areas, and I doubt it makes a difference or else Wade wouldn't be doing so well...

We do grind new cams if wanted.
There is no benefit as far as performance is concerned provided you are talking about the same grind. Cheers Chris For the Team at Wade Cams |

I guess the name of it gets the gost up people. Re-grind has a very 'second hand' cound to it, even if thats not really the case. If I had the money to throw around like an idiot I'd get a newy.

I was just curious as to the price difference
if it was only 100 bucks it'd be worth it not to have to f**k around with shims but seeing as how its about 250 the diff then shims and a regrind it'll prolly be cheers

I was of the impression a billet cam didn't require shims, maintaining the standard cam "circumference", this being the main benefit???
