If the airbag light is flashing when you first start the car then staying on it is flashing an error code at you. You need to clear the code from the computer. This is done by shorting a few pins in the diag connector. Cant remember off the top of my head which one but it has been talked about before so you should be able to dig it up with a search if nobody replies here.

To remove the spanner just hold down the odometer reset button and turn the ign to acc., wait 10-15secs and you should hear a beep. It should then be cleared from the dash until the next 10000km.

Well that's what I meant in the first place, your car won't start when you turn the ignition to accessories..................The engine must be turned off and not running.
