My condensor is screwed, all the fins on it are bent and im guessing this is not good at all for air-flow to the radiator (car over-heats), is it possible to just cut the lines and pull the POS out ?

yes, it's also possible to undo the lines leaving intact with a spanner & removing the whole lot. removing a few kw's of dead weight off the car & belt system.
if you can't be bothered just cut the belt as the few kilos of compressor won't get you over the 1/4 that half second quicker.

its not for quicker times d***head, i believe the bent fins are blocking the air-flow to my radiator causing my car to over-heat
so if anyone out there has some useful information id love to hear it |

your the one askin the question in the first place p3nis, still drunk as i was still being able to recognise my mistakes...
if you don't know enuf to give advice on here & still ask questions (as everyone is entittled to educated or not) then don't think yourself big enuf to jump down peoples throats who offer solutions or you won't get any help from anyone you maggot. i have an un-used condensor & a compressor on my car & can't get the temp guage above 3/4 if i try in traffic. normal operation won't see above halfway & thats intermittant. it doesn't block much flow if it's in good condition, as i said at the start get a fin straightening tool. taking it out isn't a big job just a pain in the a**, specially if you wan't a/c again.

When you cut the lines to remove the condensor, make sure you have your face real close to the cut point and take a big breath as you cut. It might help your attitude. |

The one I heard about doin that is to have a cig in ya mouth too when ya do it. Especially if its R134A.

Your car may be overheating due to a blocked radiator. It would be better to pull the radiator out and have it cleaned out. Also you can straighten the fins with a pair of long nose pliars its time consuming but worth the trouble. And another thing why are people being so f**k critical lately has everyone got a f**k bug up thier a***. Grow up d***head this bloke was asking a f**k question |

Um why are you telling him that he has an attitude problem, when he started the thread by asking a question, then someone tells him to take it out because it will improve his quarter mile times? As far as im aware, the title was, removing ac condensor? wasnt it? Not, Help, my fully sick car is slow down the 1\4, is it my condensor? So he has every right to have a go at him as he got a a*** and useless answer back....and yes, seems like everyone has a bug up their a***.

I think people need to chill just a little.
Vibr8n did mention in his post that he read it wrong. He offered advice ... it is a forum after all ... and that's why we come on here to ask questions. There really was no need for the attitude and abuse in reply. In doing so though, puts you offside with the rest of the members and then they are reluctant to offer you good advice if you are not willing to listen/be patient.
