hi all
i want to remove my aircon radiator cos its not letting much air pass through to the engine radiator, its cloged with crap that wont come out. will it cause problems if i just disconect the pipes and cable tie them to something so they wont flap around without blocking off the pipes?? i have pushed in the thing that looks like a tyre valve on one of the pipes and nothing came out so im guessing that there is no gass in the system. any help would be great, thanks

seal up the pipes to prevent dirt ect getting in the system.
remove the condensor, get a new one, replace the orings and take car to a/c specialist to be regassed. |

If there is no gas in the system then disconect the pipes and remove the condensor. Make sure you tape up the pipe ends with electrical tape to prevent any dust getting in to the system.
Buy a new condensor & reciever/dryer As its a XF it will have had R12 (old type air-con gas) in it. As far as I know R12 is no longer available. The system will need to be converted to R134 or some shops will put LPG into it.

From what I recall when I overhauled the AC in my XF, they didn't back then.
