As stated in the subject I need to replace the lenses on my xr lenses as I have heard that you can not actually replace the lights on the bracket?

Is this true, how can it be done?

You CAN buy replacement semi sealed units for your XR but, the cots of the 2 exceeds the cost of a replacement headlight assembly. You can purchase the LH and RH for $440.00 a side where as buying just the semi sealed units will cost you $445.00. Another way to go would be to look at getting a cheaper replacement for what you have, try these blokes...

Nah I got the lenses, I just need to find out how to remove them off my good headlight set up with s f**k frame/bracket and put them on my set with busted lenses but a good frame/bracket.

the mounting studs/adjusters have a ball on the end of them, the white plastic clips have a socket. spray them with silicon spray and gently pry the white clip away from the bolt/stud with a flat head screwdriver, be careful not to break the clips as ford dont sell them anymore
