Hey guys,
my 1995 EF XR6 is on gas and petrol and i am really keen to get rid of the gas system because, 1 - it looks horrible under the bonnet, 2 - it takes up room in the boot and, 3 - gas should only be used for barbeques. So i am just wondering if it is possible to remove it myself, and if so could anyone please give me some intrcutions to remove it! Thanks Guys !! |

Just yank it out, and then inform vic-roads that the vehicle is now petrol only.

If you must work on the gas your self. Turn the tap off at the tank and start and run it on LPG until it stalls. That will lower the line pressure and ensure there is only LPG vapor in the line.

sounds good, would it be to much to ask if you made up some step-by-step instructions on removing it ??

I don't believe anyone without an LPG work authorization should be doing any work on it at all.

I have a XH ute that was on gas then the previous owner removed it. All of the wiring is still under the bonnet, will I have any issues with the car running if I trace the wires back and remove them? (Fail safes for ignition etc.)
cheers |
