ban.

ok
what car
what are you trying to achieve?

im assuming you are talking about xr6 turbo?

if so yes it makes them sound a bit better and might flow a bit better but still not gonna acheive the same results as a proper aftermarket setup.

if you are talking about a na B series xr6, then it will do pretty much jack all, you are better off getting an xr8/xr6t exhaust system installed.

if you are talking about earlier models (e series) then dont even bother will do nothing except change the note a bit.

au i wouldnt have a clue but probly the same as the others.

You are better off getting a ute if you are thinking of getting a dog installed.

Depends if it still the factory exhaust system, then your better off saving for a full replacement for the larger diamater pipe.
With that said I think some of the XR6's got a 2 1/2" from factory - if that's the case, I'd remove all the mufflers and replace the center with a straight throguh and the rear with a resinator, and the front resinator with a straight pipe.
However, by the time you've f**k around with that probably same price to buy an offshelf Lukey sports system.

akademics, an xr8 exhuast may be a bit difficult to put on a 6 cylinder, far more trouble than its worth.

Froudey, if you havent got much noise with 1 muffler then change it first, rather than add a hotdog.
