Yeah, who's to say it wasn't out before. I wasn't suggesting it was due to the cam install.

i get fairly good fuel economy and my car keeps really well temperature..

so im not with u there...... but im stilll cant rev it out. The cam helped it a bit, but still does it. At the track i couldnt rev it out (coz it took to f**k long) so i had to change into 4th. Which p****d me off, coz a VL turbo managed to just poke his nose infront of me and ran a 14.6 when i ran a 14.8 so i KNOW its stopping me form getting a decent time!!

Does the engine sound rattly at all? Wobbo?

GRECHIE MATE LISTEN UP!! Bom Bom Bom is the sound of a lean misfire.Forget the other stuff. If your injectors are clogged this will happen.Anither cause is an air leak.Check the manifold bolts/gaskets and o rings on injectors.

Remove your spark plugs one by one and check the colour. The cylinder playing up will show a different colour to other plugs.Or for that matter check the colour of all plugs and let us know.

does it only happen at a certain RPM?

mine is 4800-5200, the faster u go the less RPM the lag kicks in at..
3rd to 4th is the worse at about 4600-4700..

WHat rpm does urs happen at? Can u rev it out past the lag?

USELESS iv'e had my injectors cleaned ive had each cylinder checked for leaks iv'e had each of the manifold bolts/gaskets and o rings on injectors checked for leaks then replaced then checked again and its still s**t.I've also had each spark plug and lead changed and they are burnin fine so its not really anything to do with the cylinders.

eed-250 my engine doesn't sound ratty at all when it starts the fords have a double miss on the first cylinder (or thats what ford and my mechanic told me) so it doesn't sound to bad. But like i said the fuel economy runs really really bad and its just got no balls. My mates got a stock gemini and he beats me and mines a XR so you work that s**t out

hey man how would u go about checking for a air leak on the manifolds??

also ill check my sparks...wouldnt a air leak from the manifolds trouble me all the time...not just high revs in a gear other then 1st ? (1sts the only gear that wont play up)
