I doubt a set of rings would cost $600. I can tell you a set of pistons with rings have an RRP of $620.

A set of rings alone is under the $100 mark. And I would think thats something they normally have in stock. Everytime I have ordered a set, they were ready to go, or were in the next day.

Go to a mechanic shop and ask who their supply is. I go to this shop who supply mechanics with most of their engine parts. Heaps cheap. Bought rings, bearing and a full gasket kit. For the same parts autopro wanted around $600. And thats discounted...
