hey guys...im getting a 2.5" redback system with HiTech tri-y headers for an I6 soon and the guy whos doing it is known for good work... however i said i dont want lots of noise jus a nice low note and a bit of growl higher up, he said jus two mufflers and no resonator...BUT... ive heard tell that no resonator makes it sound like a raspberry-blowin four-banger!!! i definitly dont want this!!! any thoughts?
cheers

whoever said that is a f**k retard lol

2 mufflers would be quieter than a muffler and a resi.

ive just got a muffler and i reckon its sounds the best that way but its even loud at idle haha. my votes muffler and resi if you want the sound without the volume. i found little difference in like sound except the volume removing my resonator (same extractors as mine too)

As above, single muffler and resi (standard 2½ Redback system)

Nothing worse than a 6 with a wannabe v8 note.

I have Pacies 4480's, modified Zeuna Starker CAT, twin 2&1/4" down to homemade s/s muffler, then single 2&1/2" tailpipe. Its not loud, but louder than std system, and flows heaps. Has a deepish note to it.
Here's a pic of the muffler & CAT.

lololol Go with that 1.

As most said, go with the High flow cat and lukey muffler just 1! and no resonator... i made the mistake of fitting one originally to my old fairmont and ended up having it removed what a waste of 200 bucks.
