Hi everyone,
I'm building an E.B 1992 manual with smart lock, and would like to overcome the rev limitre as the car is going to be raced on a quater mile speedway oval. The current rev limetre is too low at 5300. Because of the rules I am not allowed to run after market computers, can anyone tell me if there is a standard computer that would fit that model to overcome the smartlock and the rev limetre looking to acheive 6000 revs.cheers

im pretty sure you can eliminate the smart lock and rev limiter, how ever on a stock ecu it cant be adjusted. im sure if you play around with some of the pins on the ecu you could get around to disable the revlimiter.
hopefully some one here with more knowlege would tell you how

Talk to Data_Mine he has removed (or at least raised the rpm limiter) on an EL ECU. Smartlock bypass is available on EBAY.

Welcome to Fordmods,
PM '66coupe' and ask if one of his little toys will do the job or get an XR6 ECU [no limiters so I'm told]
As your new, just click on the search tab top of page and enter '66coupe' then 'search', click on one of the results to bring up a post of his, then click on the PM button, type your query and 'submit' it.
He's a cluey bloke and should have an answer for both your needs.
Cheers
Paul

I'll add this as well, because I don't think my EB2 has a rev limiter, or speed limiter for that matter. If its supposed to have them, they don't function.

And if you type 'rev limiter' into your search query box you will get many more threads which you can mine for useful information.
Cheers
Paul
