Hey guys, when at idle in park or N, my revs are a little up n down, when in park it sits a bit lower than 750, more like 650, coils?
also is it normal to feel your engine shake from time to time whilst at idle, feel it in the seat, like a lil jolt every 5 secs.

I have an EF that's a bit lumpy on idle.
It's fine once underway - very smooth. None of the mechanics have mentioned it being a problem, but it's not as smooth as I would have thought. My previous car, a little Pulsar, was smooth as.

take it to joe and ask his opinion on what it is, its hard to diagnose a problem over the internet.. we can only guess...

Sweet dude, how long does a diagnosis scan usually take? Is it costly?

I have exactly the same issue with my car.
SWC told me that the CMS cam(s) are renowned for hunting heaps at idle. So, I'm not sure that it can be fixed, providing your car is cammed with a CMS kit. I've too been told by a work mate that nearly all the guys he knows that have a cammed Falcon have the same issue. Does your car hold onto revs as well, when in neutral or park?

Mate I haven't touched my cams. And I don't plan to.
It got nothing to do with cams. It's only occurred after my dyno tune. No it doesn't hold 750 rpm in park.

does it happen when it's warming up or when the engine is at running temperature?

flogging a dead horse here, we all know hes just going to tell us we arent mechanics, and then go pay one to diagnose the problem
If you dont already run a higher octane fuel try that first, as the timing would of probably been advanced to get the most out of the better petrol...
