hey guys,
im about to start rebuilding either an ef/el/au i6 (depending on what i can find) and remember reading somewhere that these engines have problems with oil flow in the head after they're revved to 6000. I think it was something to do with not being able to get rid of oil as fast as its pumped in? Anyway could someone clarify this for mean and if there's any way to solve it? thanks nick

That would be referring to the hydraulic lifters afaik.
Over 6000 they start to experience pump up. Maybe they do an off-the-shelf anti pump up lifter for SOHC 4Ls, I don't know. I doubt it to be honest.
