Before i start, i gotta admit, this feels kind of rice, but, at the same time, quite useful.
Has anyone seen these electric exhaust cutouts? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DOU-DEC300A-1/ I've found about 4 brands of them from the US. The exhaust carked it in my car the other day, and I was originally thinking about upgrading to a 3" to go with the blower, but i since learnt a bit about these. I'm thinking now to put a bloody quiet, almost stock exhaust on one side of the cutout, and then dump it straight off the cat on the cutout. The idea of doing it this way is so i can have it nice and quiet for when i am driving around town, highway or generally taking it easy (make the car more bearable), and then when i'm down at the strip, open it up and have a bit of a play. Any one got any comments on these things? Am i a ricer? |

alot of street strip cars use these, great for the sleeper too.
will be bloody loud straight from the cat at full noise.

4Ls sound horrific with open pipes, for humanities sake please don't do it.
i'd spend the money on a good exhaust with quality mufflers. we aren't talking massive amounts of power, it won't be that hard to keep it quiet yet still flow well.
