There may be a little trouble as the mechanism for holding your rocker down is studs with the rubber seals built in while the EB is a tad different. Having said that, it might work? I am sure that someone else will give you a definitive answer soon.

you may have trouble with it leaking at the front and back because in the old head where the half circle is cut into the front and back it has a perfect half circle and the newer heads have the half circles but they are rounded off a little

Bolts aren't a problem but jerrytorry is right about the half moons. We did the opposite on my car (AU rocker cover on EA engine) and had to file the corners off at the top of the head to get it to seal right. The other way, unless you use a ton of gasket goo, I can't see it working
