is it possible to keep the EA-ED style when u do the bbm conversion.....Ive got an ED tickford cover at the moment and i personally like the style of it more than the smooth EF/EL ones

The difficulty is that the EF/EL/AU rocker cover has the screw holes to locate the accellorator cable and the cruise contol on the top of the cover.
I guess you could make up a braket of some sort, but making it look good would be fun. BenJ

I thought it might not fit because the TB might end up to close to cover
wouldnt be hard to tap a couple of holes for the cables I guess also i was wondering about cruise control on the ED with bbm...wouldnt the cable be a different length...how did u solve that on yours

Initially I cut the EB and the EL cables and then joined them together.
Later I did a custom install of the EL cruise module and electronics. I would be very careful about drilling and tapping holes if the thickness of the aluminium is not deep enough BenJ

Check my gallery. I used the EB-ED tappet cover (it clears) the EL bbm and a my EB-ED throttle body.
I just made up a bracket to mount the standard eb throttle and cruise cables using the existing bracket that mounts them to log manifold then made up some brackets to mount it to the side of the throttle body (tapped a 8mm hole) and another bracket (with a 6mm hole) to the little lumpy bit on the top of the bbm. I also made it adjustable to counteract cable stretch and setting it up so i get full throttle (most falcons don't actually get full throttle). Also the eb throttle body is 2mm bigger in diameter than the el!!! not much but heh?

Here i found some photo's. Of course you need to set the angle up once on the car, but the setup is still working great plus the biggest bonus is because im boosted the longer cables alows me to run them along the fire wall then around to the throttle body. This keeps them away from the heat of the turbo. Where as the EF-EL throttle/cruise cables put them right over the top of the turbo! people use heat wrap but still???

Yeah 2mm isn't much.
I always try to use what i have rather than get new stuff. If it aint broke, and can be modified to suit, than why not. I really am happy with the adjustability (word?) all angles and length can be catered for.

I bought an EL throttle cable from an unboosted car and about 40cm of the plastic shroud is missing, with the end looking kind of heat affected, so i understand your point. I notice you've fitted the ISC back-to-front from the way it is fitted on the log manifold. I was going to do this myself for extra space for the cross-over pipe, but i figured i should ask if they are reversible before i did it. Then i realised even in the std configuration it gives more space than the EL and AU ISC's, so i just put it the normal way.

I think you may find yours may be back the front?
The solonoid end (where the wires come out) should face the crankcase ventalation pipe & tps, with the blank end facing the throttle linkage.

When you are looking into the throttle body on the log the wires are on the left side. So i replicated this when looking into the throttle body on the bbm. I could be wrong though if the different throttle bodies are drilled differently.

Nah you have it the right way, mines the same you may just be confused from the differant angles on the photo's but yeah the wires are coming out on the left if you are looking into the throttle body.
