E.g. mine, even when mine is in LPG mode it still starts on petrol (and then automatically changes to LPG) is I remove my petrol system, car won't start! I'm sure I could however have it set up so when it starts on LPG it actually uses LPG not petrol but. O, and twason, I presume that the V8 and I6 systems are different!! you do realise thats simply the switching system used by the LPG system, it in no way means you can't do it. It just depends what setup the LPG installer decides to use. i have 3 options, start petrol, run petrol start petrol, switch to LPG start LPG, run LPG.

Petrol start can be removed, I removed mine on my EA as the car struggled to start with it. We believe instead of switching from petrol to gas it was duel-fueling then switching to gas. With it only on gas it would start first crank.

Would you stick a 350 holley on it if gas wasn't cheap ? May as well, their both about as good as each other at controlling mixtures. i dunno how they compare, but to mod the holley for LPG would be a b**ch of a job im guessin... either way its not like the GRA t/b's are expensive, ive ran two of them on a 308 b4 and it worked brilliantly (ran as smooth as an efi car) so i'd definately stand by them. |
