cool man, that makes sence actually eh, because more then likely the old xf will end up in a scrap yard sumwhere before im off my p's. my dream car is an xy gt shaker, but thats a dream thats never comin true haha

work hard and save well.. in a few years you will definalty be able to afford a decent looking BA and they are a great starting platform.

XF's arnet that bad, but at a point your going to end up throw alot of money at them to keep them running.

yeh. my mate bought himself a 35grand ba last week and already f**k it. haha ran a kurb and ripped out the axel or sumin ba xr8

hello nv,

if i was you, id just slam a 351/302C in it.
you can pick up a whole 351 car for five hundred bucks
here in bris if you try.
these old v8's represent the cheapest bang for your buck
in that you just put em in and start performing burnouts
in shopping centres...just like that (fharkov clicks fingers).
If you blow it up, just put another in.
I have done this several times, in fact i had a grin permanently set
on my face for about five years...
i find value in these ford sixes because that they are refined
...smooth.
but if its ear splitting torque you want, go the eight.
To get the fun fun thing happening with a six, my feeling is that
turbo is the way to go, however, unless you are some kind of
engineer like one of the other posters here, the turbo option is way too dear. like, its gonna cost you 7-10 grand..My belief is that a PROPER
turbo setup would be much dearer than that figure.

nv shaggy, its good that you are posting here, and i like your ideas and
i get the feeling you will one day very soon own a monster.

my advice is to not ever, ever, do up a commodore.
They are s__t, ...They Are The Enemy.

i crashed my first car at 17, taught me a very valuable lesson - your life is quite literally on the line when you, or anyone around you loses control of your/their vehicle. Unfortunately this isn't something you really learn until you personally are involved in an accident. This is obviously more likely to happen when your young, as you explore your cars and your own personal abilities.

driving on a farm doesn't prove anything. Anyone can steer accelerate and brake in a car. I was doing it just after i reached the pedals.

By the way 18 is still very young...

I'm still learning out on the road, and probably will keep learning for the rest of my life.
Or at least until I become a geriatric, like an unnamed member of the FAG.

This kids amazing he has had crashes aswell.
But seriously mate, like haggis said, you dont learn the real lesson until you have a crash on the big boy road, with other cars and s**t. And he is also right in saying that anyone can steer and brake and accelrate, but on the road theres a s**t of other things happening around you that you have to be aware of, things you have to remember and things you have to abide by. Not just jump in a car put your foot down and move the steering wheel.

Have you had to overtake a B-Double on skinny road?
A b**ch on a mobile start merging into you at 110km/h?
Put a tire off the bitumen into the gravel?
Corrected oversteer on bitumen?
Driven on a wet road with deep standing water?
Felt aquaplaning?
Dirt is one thing, and yeah it helps a bit, but bitumen is nowhere near as forgiving.
All I'm saying is, NEVER think you know what to expect out on the road.
That's how kids end up wrapped around poles, and your parents get a knock on the door from the local copper with his hat off.

haha eh mate, my dad drives a roadtrain, ive seen my share of weird sit, ive bneen in a tboned car, aquaplaned, hit a tree, rolled over.
