This saloon car grind is basically what Im contemplating for my setup. I currently have a supercharged AU engine that is stock apart from bolt ons like exhaust, injectors etc. Bruce Heinrich will order a new one and fit it and has suggested I go for this cam but with a few tweaks to the cam specs to suit my setup more.

Bruce knows what he is on about so if thats what he is suggesting then that is what you should do. He has been around saloon cars since the beginning and has 5 national titles to his name.

However IMHO this advice is pretty poor. He may know a lot about n/a setups, but such a big cam on a blown setup (be it turbo or supercharged), will result in nothing more than really poor economy.
You want a cam with big lift, but minimal overlap. Big n/a cams have big lift and big overlap. Lots of overlap means the exhaust valve is still closing (open), while the intake valve opens. Meaning any positive pressure in the cylinder will simply blow the intake charge out of the exhaust port.

One thing Bruce does well is making boosted cars go harder. This includes things from turbo e-series falcons to FG phoons. I believe he has the experience to get the job done right. As for the cam, I will discuss this further with him so he is aware of the pros and cons. Either way the cam I get will be a custom grind. As to what, I will probe further.

without knowing any of the specs, how can you possibly think the "saloon car" cam is the best for your application?

Im going by what Bruce is suggesting. Plus he is a big fan of crow cams. Considering his heavy knowledge of the saloon car industry I would assume he knows whats best.

yeah.
they are designed for cars with stock ECUs, which basically means they can't have alot of overlap or the stock ECU would have a fit.

I assume Brendan Mock was running this type of cam on his turbo e-series? Im running a capa flash box too. Im hoping there is more room for improvement having this. As you may already know, my car is supercharged. Will that type of cam still run well with my setup?

nfi what brendan ran in his EF, or in the EB now.
if you really wanted a cam perfect for your setup, get a custom cam. although it sounds like that's what your tuner is going to do anyway, get a grind similar to the TASSCO cam with a few changes?

the EF was originally supercharged, then turbocharged, now the turbocharged motor out of the EF is in the red EB which has ran 10.0
