My 91 EA fairmont has lost the plot
i just got to the super market and when i pulled into the parking spot the idle got rough and then it stalled then when i tryed to start it again it just turns over. i"ve checked the spark plugs and leads, rotor and cap all good there is a nice strong spark, checked that there is fuel in the injectors and they are pumping away nicely but all it does is sit there and turn over i've been trying to figure it out scince 4:00 this afternoon and i've just had to leave it there due to bad light.
if any body can give me any advice on what might be the cause please help

timing could be out?
as this would show spark and fuel
and explain teh rough idle?

but if i was runnin fine then s**t itself how would the timing just slip unless the chain is gone but chains dont s**t them selves that often. the spark may look like its strong but the module on the dizzy may have gone , ecu lots a s**t like that

the dizzy rotor could have slipped

replace ya coil

Fuel pump died??? Rough idle as fuel runs out???Another thing you might look at.You got plenty of fuel.

Dizzy cap burntout. You will get spark, but its eratic and sometimes dull. Might exsplain the miss before stopping.
