You seem to be way out of your depth! i think he needs help not criticism atm dude! we're trying to help the guy not attack him It may have sounded like criticism but it was meant as advice, he hasnt mentioned how much mechanical knowledge he has and from what I've read it may not be a whole lot. Everybodys throwing all these ideas at him and his head is probly spinning. Early in this thread somebody mentioned turning the motor by hand, but there was no mention of which way to turn it or to take the plugs out before doing so which maybe second nature to some but to a novice it wouldnt even show on the radar. IF YOUR NOT SURE WHAT YOUR DOING GET HELP!!!!!! and not just from a forum, surely theres somebody you know who is handy around a car.

yeh im tryna sort through all the different options and go for the ones that a few people have mentioned. i dont got anyone with any mechanical knowledge that i know of, am just tryna take things slow. i got my gregorys and started reading how to check/change spark plugs, and understand it quite well cos there is pics and everything. the only thing is it says to take coil packs out by disconnecting the wires and wiggling it at the same time. i did this and it came out, but there was a spring hanging out of it.. now, this looks completely different to the pics, im guessing the spring is supposed to be encased inside the rubber seal that is still sat in the hole??
or is it right that the spring came out and was visible? if not right, wtf do i do haha

search could very well be your best friend but maybe think about saving your $ for a mechanic. Maybe you could appeal for another member who lives near you to help, the offer of beer usualy helps

haha yeh. i think i need a beer too! ill get on perth falcons too, see if there is anyone nearby. but i did get the plugs out, and turned it over. it didnt get any easier though? and no water came out of the port things where the spark plugs are, and i tried using a bit of string to see if there was any moisture there, but hardly anything, just oil...
so what would be the next step to take? i cant stress enough how hard it is to turn over by hand... my hands are f**k killin me and cut my arm open on the radiator, what a b**ch. guna have to find another way to work, whenever that will be... hopefully somebody chips in for a servics, but i think it could be quite expensive this time round.. cheers
